POSITION

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing human resources duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of Human Resources, the HR team, managers, supervisors and third party vendors. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, compliance, payroll, performance management, on-boarding/off boarding, policy implementation, production recruitment and HR communications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for HR Plant Operations, including contingent seasonal workforce onboarding, offboarding and recruitment. 
• Participates in daily production meetings to communicate Company policies and procedures, departmental goals and objectives and other relevant information to line managers and supervisors. 
• Assists with the production performance evaluation process and makes recommendations for implementing safety, training and regulatory compliance needs. 
• Maintains training, compliance logs, employee records and manages the worker’s compensation process.
• Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. 
• Conducts new-employee orientations, disseminates benefits information and communicates changes in benefits. 
• Partners with department supervisors and managers to employee relations issues and recommends compliant disciplinary actions, including termination, counseling and employee assistance (EAP). 
• Work closely with the Director of Human Resources on HR projects, deliverables and initiatives. 
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and HR services. 
• Partner with worker’s compensation carrier and production supervisors to reduce claims and mitigate physical and financial injury. 
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. 
• Responsible for annual 300 filing and posting, labor law postings and other HR compliance dissemination and messaging
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
• BA/BS in Human Resources or related field (may substitute with 5 – 8 years of experience).

Experience:

• 3+ years of human resource generalist experience
• 2+ years of experience managing leaves of absence
• 2+ years of experience in time clock management
• 1+ years of recruitment and sourcing
• 2+ years of managing employee relations, workplace in and progressive discipline management relations/investigations


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Writing and generating various reports
• Ability manage HR projects in a timely manner
• Knowledge of human resources, safety, compliance and mandated training 
• Excellent team building skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Must maintain confidentiality and sensitive data, and report breeches immediately
• Amazing sense of humor (highly preferred). 
• HR certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Must be bilingual in both Spanish and English, both orally and in writing. (French speaking
desired).

POSITION

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for a variety of operational and administrative tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to: 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Drop ship department-Receive & process orders on-line through all customer portals
• Primary liaison with drop ship customers & Fed Ex/UPS
• Process Chef Ex orders and sample requests from Sales team
• Respond promptly to order changes, cancellations, or other issues
• Ensure all drop shipments are invoiced after 2 pm daily 
• Create FedEx and UPS invoices on Fridays
• Provide Inside Sales Team with shipping quotes as needed
• Make sure that all packages that are scheduled to ship are picked up by FedEx or UPS to ensure next day delivery. 
• Process local sales orders
• Count packaging inventory at least twice per week
• Print and mail Sell Sheets, Brochures, Press Kits, and other collaterals as required
• Assist with set up for customer tastings and tours
• Organize and maintain the sales materials stock.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Description This position will inspects and tests products at different stages in production and collects samples.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Inspects production lines prior to start-up
-Ensures that employees follow GMPs
-Monitor that raw materials, packaging materials, work in progress (WIP) and finished products are in compliance with Galaxy Desserts specifications (temperature, weight, visual appearance, etc).
-Collects daily samples and maintains the Shelf life storage area in freezer 3
-Assist in collection of product for third party analysis
-Monitor the temperature of freezers, coolers, refrigerators and ovens throughout shift
-Calibrates scales, thermometers and pH meters by following calibration procedures.
-Conducts Daily shelf-life evaluations
-Accurately record information, reviews collected data on forms/logs. Ensures compliance to collected data.
Monitors all CCP’s and CP’s
Assures the safety and commitment to the SQF code vs 7.2
